The cost to fix a toilet can range drastically depending on what the issue is. While it will almost always be cheaper to repair a toilet vs installing a new one, its impossible to give you an exact price without having someone look at the toilet, understand the band, part and area of location. That said, you can expect to pay anywhere from $189 for a repair all the way up to $1,500 for a high efficient premium style toilet. Common Issues and Fixes.

You can try using a plunger, but there are many times where this is unsuccessful and calling in a plumber to snake the drain is required to get the toilet flowing again.

Dysfunctional Fill Valve or Flush Valve: Is your toilet constantly running? If it is, this is most likely due to the fact that your flush valve or fill valves are not working properly and are allowing a consistent flow of water into the toilet. You will need to call a plumber to have a look and diagnose which one of these valves is giving you issues so it can be replaced and stop your toilet from running all the time.

Leaking Shut off Valve or Supply Line: The shut off valve and supply line are water supply the water to your toilet. If these parts are leaking, they should be replaced as soon as possible before anything escalated and causes more damage to your house.
